Celebs Dazzle at 2009 OSCARS
The 81st Academy Awards Oscars was held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. The Red Carpet sizzled with the brightest stars in some of the most beautiful and timeless gowns yet! This year’s ceremony was hosted by the multi-talented Hugh Jackman. Slumdog Millionaire took top honors of the night with eighth Oscar wins and Best Picture. Other big winners include Sean Penn for Best Actor, Kate Winslet for Best Actress and Heath Ledger for Best Supporting Actor. After the Academy Awards ended, the celebs headed over to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel for the Governor’s Ball.

Natelie Portman has been condemned by the Rabbi for her portrayal of an Indian princess in a new video. The actress portrays Princess Carmensita Saplingita in ex-boyfriend Devendra Banhart’s new promo for Carmensita. Rabbi Jonathan Freirich has told Portman to use the upcoming Day of Atonement to make amends to the Hindus she has offended.
